Sports Injuries Books

Lotus Publishing is one of the market leaders in sports injuries books, particularly in the self-help rehabilitation sub-category. The first sports injuries book released by Lotus Publishing, Brad Walker's The Anatomy of Sports Injuries, was originally released in August 2007, but continues to enjoy success to this day. The book is a staple guide for physiotherapists, physical therapists, sports students and sporting enthusiasts alike and covers such topics as an explanation of sports injuries, sports injury prevention and sports injury treatment and rehabilitation (before providing a breakdown focusing on specific injuries, such as injuries of the skin, of the head and neck and of the hands and fingers).

Lotus Publishing self-help rehabilitation guides, which help aid the healing of sporting injuries (as well as injuries caused by day-to-day activities) include Valerie DeLaune's Pain Relief with Trigger Point Self-Help (which is a self-help guide but also massively useful for physical therapy students and practitioners alike), Anna Semlyen and Alison Trewhela's Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs and Brad Walker's Treat Your Own Knees: A self-help treatment plan to fully rehabilitate 26 common knee injuries and conditions. Each offer interesting, and in some cases pioneering, new ways to help rehabilitate injuries and painful joints, bones and muscles, from utilising the practice of yoga, to stimulating specific trigger points to using gentle movement based exercises and stretches.
