Bodywork is a term that came from America. It covers, massage, physiotherapy, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), trigger points, shiatsu, seated bodywork and deep tissue massage. The books in the bodywork section will be useful to teachers and students of a range of massage therapies including shiatsu, acupuncture and acupressure. John Sharkey's The Concise Book of Neuromuscular Therapy; looks at soft tissue pain and injury whilst Chris Jarmey's book The Foundations of Shiatsu; focuses on basic shiatsu technique and theory.
